About KotoPorbe

KotoPorbe (কত পড়বে, "how much will it cost?") is a price comparison site for laptops and phones in Bangladesh. It reads prices from shops' public websites once a day and shows them side by side, each with the time it was checked. We are not a shop and sell nothing.

Who runs KotoPorbe?

KotoPorbe is run by an independent developer in Bangladesh. It is not owned by, or paid by, any shop. Write to [email protected].

How do we get prices?

Once a day a program reads the public product pages of Star Tech, TechLand, Gadget & Gear, UCC, Apple Gadgets, Sumash Tech and Dazzle: the same pages you see in a browser. It records the price you can pay (not the crossed-out list price), whether the shop says the item is in stock, and the exact time it read the page.

Listings for the same model are grouped by model code. When a match is uncertain, the listings stay separate rather than risk mixing two different products.

What does "checked" mean?

Every price shows the time we read it, in Dhaka time. We never call a price "live" or "real-time". If a price hasn't been checked for more than 48 hours it is marked "Stale" and can't be shown as the lowest.

How do we label official phones?

We repeat what the shop says. "Official warranty" means the shop's listing says official. "Import" means that shop labels other listings official but not this one. "Warranty not stated" means the shop doesn't say. We never guess.

Prices, stock and specs come from shops' websites at the time shown and may be wrong or out of date. The price at checkout, delivery fees and warranty terms can differ. Always confirm on the shop's page before you pay. Product names and images belong to their owners.

Do we earn money from links?

Not yet. If KotoPorbe joins a shop's affiliate programme, we may earn a commission when you buy through a "Go to shop" link, at no extra cost to you. Shops are always ordered by price, never by payment, and we will list our affiliate partners here.

I run a shop. How do I get listed or removed?

Email us with your shop's website. We will reply and act on removal requests promptly.

What do we collect about you?

No accounts, no forms, no cookies from us. We plan cookieless visitor counts only. A shop you visit through a link may set its own cookies.
